Frequently Asked Questions

What are Lost Artistry pro-fan lashes?

L.A pre-fans are the future of volume lashing. No more tedious fan building, risking fans closing due to glue rising or a rogue lash splitting in an unwanted direction. L.A pro-fans are pre-made volume fans that cut your volume lash application down significantly. Our double heat bonding method ensures the lightest and highest quality pro-fan lash on the market. If you can do classic lashes, now you can do volume lashes. Faster, fuller and perfect every time. The wait is over.

Is that eyelash glue on my pro-fan?

Nope! We use a unique top-secret double heat bonding method to ensure extremely lightweight lashes. Through extensive tests we have shown our pre-fan lash is actually lighter than a traditionally made volume lash fan with glue. Dip just 1-2 mm of the base of the fan in our lightweight low viscosity pre-fan glues to create a secure, healthy and light bond to the natural lash.

Are L.A fans safe for my natural lash?

If done by a properly trained and experienced technician, eyelash extensions should not damage your natural lashes at all. It is up to the individual to ensure their lash technician is qualified and experienced.

How long will L.A pro-fans last?

Our ultra-strong glue ensures the fan will stay bonded to the natural lash until it falls off during its natural cycle. The average client requires fills every 2-4 weeks, however L.A fans can be retained up to 8 weeks.

Can I apply mascara to my lash?

There shouldn’t be a need to wear mascara with lash extensions, however a lash friendly mascara that has been designed specifically for extensions is just fine to use on them. NEVER use a waterproof mascara or waterproof eyeliner. You will need an oil based make up remover to remove waterproof products which will literally remove your lash extensions. NO OILS !

Can I use my normal make up remover?

We suggest using a make up remover and face wash specifically designed for eyelash extensions. It is okay to use a water based face wash but unfortunately a lot of water based cleansers will have a sodium content in them and salt will also quickly break through the glue. No oil based products are ever to be used on eyelash extensions as they will act as a remover.

My glue has a poor retention rate.

Your glue has likely gone bad due to age or improper storage. If properly stored, once opened, all our glues have a three month minimum shelf life. In the unlikely event the glue is not retaining and has been recently ordered, please contact our customer service department.

Why has my glue turned thick and sticky?

Generally this is due to improper storage and glue can no longer be used. Before discarding though, check your humidity levels. It is possible your glue is fine but when using it, the amount you have placed out for use on client could be the only bit affected by external excess or lack of humidity.

The glue has separated like peanut butter before it’s been stirred.

Likely because there is too much moisture in the air! Try vigorously shaking the bottle to help mixing process and checking the humidity levels. If all fails, it may be time for a new glue!

The glue turned white while I was using it.

This happens when there is not enough moisture in the air.

How long does glue have to set before clients can open their eyes?

We recommend using a nano mister, air blower or home remedy curing solution or a minimum of three minutes curing before pads are removed and client’s eyes are opened.
